This is the story of a tigress named Sarah who wants revenge for the death of her best friend at the hands of a deranged man. She’s fierce and loyal and I would not want to be on her bad side in a dark alley. When the story starts she has set herself upon a dangerous path that will end up with her doomed to a life of captivity.
Daniel, the man who hopes to mate with her and have MANY babies, is an elite tracker and is very protective of Sarah. He goes against the rules of the elders hoping to stop her from killing a human.
After meeting the villain I know that he will show up again and that this series has a ways to go before its even close to done.
This is a very fast pace book that left me satisfied yet biting at the bit to read the rest of the series. I love how Kat brings back the characters from her first book so we can see how they are doing after so many years.
Oh I forgot to say that there is a break for sex...lots and lots of sex!!!!
Five stars for a well done job and now I am restless waiting on the next installment.

Daniel Borowkowski is a tracker and enforcer of tiger shifter law. He is at present more interested in saving Sarah Shu from doing something that that will push her life in a bad direction.
Williams, a human, tortured and killed female tiger shifter Su-jin. Su-jin was Sarah's best friend. Sarah and Su-jin's brother Joseph vowed to avenge Su-jin's death, even at the cost of their own lives. Tiger shifter law forbids the killing of humans especially in tiger form. The penalty is the death of anyone who breaks this law. Can Daniel protect the woman he loves even from herself? Can Sarah let man who tortured and killed her best friend get away with it? Can she give up Daniel, the man she loves for the sake of revenge? What happens when the killer decides to go after them?
I was surprised to find out how much I enjoyed Kat Simmons work when I read Alexis Tarasova's and Victor Romanov's story in Once Upon A Tiger. Her strong characters and shifter characters drew me to her work. After reading book one I was more than happy to find she had a second book out in her Tiger Shifter series. I found Along Came a Tiger was just as a well done. It’s a story with memorable characters and a storyline that keeps you glued to your seat from beginning to end.
If you have not read book one, do not worry because Along Came a Tiger can easily be read as a standalone book. There are mentions of Alexis and Victor from book one, but it does not confuse the reader with details from the preceding book. I do recommend reading Once Upon a Tiger because it was such a well written and enjoyable story as well. I am looking forward to the third book coming in the fall of 2014, Here There Be Tigers.
If you like paranormal romances dealing with shifters then you are going to love Kat Simmons' Along Came a Tiger.

kept my interest read in 4 hours not long enough
This short story was Not a great read. It had a lot of repetition. It was slow paced and also anti-climatic.

Enjoyable story and interesting characters. I enjoy the world Kat Simons has created and populated. This is a good book to escape into.
